Literature Text

“Daddy! Come play Hide-and-Seek with me!” (Name) yelled a she jumped on Clint's chest. He sat up with a groan and set his four -year-old on his lap. “Please, Daddy! Anna and I are bored,” she said.

“Anna?” Clint asked looking quizzically at his daughter.

“Anna. From Frozen,” (Name) said.

Right.” (Name) had been obsessed with Frozen since Natasha and Clint had took her to see it when it came out. She had made all the characters her imaginary friends, but she insisted they were 100% real.

Come on, Daddy!” she cried.

“All right, all right,” Clint said rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

“You're it!” (Name) yelled as she raced off to hide.

Clint shook his head and covered his face with his hands and started to count.”1, 2, 3...”

~1 Minute Later~

When Clint got to sixty, he got up and yelled, “Ready or not, here I come!” like (Name) said you had to do.

As he got up, his phone buzzed. It was a text from Tony:

(Name) said we all have to play. Come and find us!!!!

Clint groaned. His daughter could talk anyone into doing anything. And now he had to find the other Avengers. Except for his wife, Natasha, who had gone on a mission.

Clint walked into the kitchen where he found Thor sitting on a counter munching on pop tarts. “Thor, you're supposed to hide,” Clint said even though he was happy since it was one less person to worry about finding.

“I was hiding. Then I was hungry,” Thor replied taking a bite of his strawberry pop tart. Clint just shook his head and went to find the others.

Clint then went to the labs where he was sure he would find Bruce or possibly Tony. As he was searching one of the huge labs, he heard a crash at the other end of the room. He went over there only to Bruce trying to sweep up a beaker that had fallen.

“What happened?” Clint casually asked scaring Bruce. The scientist jumped a little hitting his head on the table he had been hiding behind.

“Gravity.” Bruce deadpanned. Clint smiled helped him clean up the mess.

As he was exiting the lab, he got another text:

Tony: Look for Cap in bathroom 8. 7

Clint shook his head. He found it ridiculous how many bathrooms Tony had in the tower, but it was also convenient. The 8 meant it was on the eighth floor and the 7 meant it was the seventh bathroom on the floor.

He got in the elevator and went down to the eighth floor. He walked down the hallways until he made it to the seventh bathroom.

Clint entered the luxurious bathroom and looked around. Well, Steve obviously wasn't out in the open. Clint walked across the bathroom calling Steve's name. No answer. He walked to the shower and flung open the curtains. There, lying on the floor of the shower, was Captain America.

“Nice hiding spot,” Clint said. Steve looked up and nearly screamed.

“(Name) told me where to hide,” he said sheepishly.

“Why would you listen to a four year old?”

“Because they usually have the best hiding places,” Steve replied. Clint gave him and odd look. “Never mind.”

Clint shrugged and went to find (Name) or Tony. Whoever he came across first.

~2 Hours Later~

Clint had searched for his daughter and Tony for two hours before he gave up. “They'll come out when they want something,” Bruce had said.

“Okay,” Clint said. They had all sat down and started watching movies. Five minutes later, Tony walked down the stairs looking mad.

“Did you forget about me?” he said.

“No we just got too lazy to come find you,” Clint said.

“What about (Name)?”

“She'll come out sooner or later.” Tony shrugged and joined them.

~4 Hours Later~

The elevator doors opened with a ding! Out stepped everyone's favorite female assassin, Natasha.

“Where's (Name)?” she demanded as she stepped through the doors.

“Hello to you too,” Clint said. Ever since (Name)'s birth, Natasha had been a overprotective mother. She was always worrying over their daughter for stupid things.

“Where is she?”

“We don't know,” Tony said. Clint glared at him and Natasha's eyes got wide.

“What?” she said panicked.

“ Natasha, I'm sure (Name) is fine. We were just playing hide and seek and we couldn't find her. She'll come out soon,” Clint said trying to calm her down.

“Find her now!” Natasha shrieked. The men didn't need to be told twice. They all jumped up and went indifferent directions looking for (Name).

Clint ran around the tower frantically calling for his daughter. As he opened another door he had an idea. He got into the vents and crawled around whispering her name so he wouldn't scare her.

As he got closer to where he knew the vents opened up into her room he stopped. He heard light breathing and smelled... chocolate? Clint crawled closer and sure enough, there was (Name) sound asleep with an empty container of Oreos next to her. He smiled and crawled over to her.

“(Name),” he whispered as he gently shook her. She slowly opened her eyes and smiled.

“You found me, Daddy.”

“Yeah. I did. How did you get up here?” Clint asked as he picked her up and carried her to the opening.

“Anna helped me,” she sleepily replied as she curled up in his arms. Clint sighed knowing she would probably never tell him.

Request for :iconemma-snow: I'm so sorry it took so long. I don't really have an excuse. I've just been so lazy!! Hopefully I'll have the other two up soon and I'll be posting more often. I hope you enjoy!!
